Anecdotally, I've seen far more requests for the MT bear form to be brought back than for the MT cat form. While the MT cat form is the best cat form imo, it's similar enough to the base cat form - same skeleton and animations - that the given justification doesn't really apply. So now, new players can get the werebear model, albeit not the same one. The justification given for adding another werebear was that it's a radical change to the bear form model (right down to skeleton and animations), but currently entirely unobtainable. I feel that this is for sure a step in the right direction from where we were a month ago. I hope that with decent player participation in this event will give Blizz the motivation to re-create or even re use old content for new rewards OR even recolors of iconic sets / items in the future. I am happy that they did not bring the actual weapon skins back but instead re-purposed the mage tower for something " Not new " but unique armor palates for iconic sets. So, I have the Hunter Mists CM gear, sadly missed 2 of the WoD golds for the weps, and about 9 mage tower skins. This means I'll have a really hard time ever getting it as the pressure can really make things harder on me. I'm not good at grinding stuff out, I like to take it slow. I really hate it'll be locked to a six month rotation for time walking though. I really like the return of the mage tower. They got it for the model itself, so really locking the other ones out for other classes in my opinion makes no sense if they release this to everyone.
Lets be real, nobody got the bear form in legion because they wanted something brown or black or white. I think this form is really awesome as its unique however, i find it strangely irritating how they say they wont release the other artifacts and despite them saying the other variants are still locked. same sentiment as the T20 recolors from the MT, maybe if they allowed you to get your artifact appearances it'd be good but as is I don't see a point, most people will only do it for the mount because those set colors are atrocious. So do we know if we get both the new form and armor set from the guardian challenge or just the form? I love this form but what about Ferals and Boomkins? :Sīoomkin didn't have an alt model from MT, so no new birb.
